Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 80 points

  • Monthly Tasting Group HWS #003; Portugal (By RT): Vanilla in the bouquet. There is some pineapple, a lot of firm acidity and bitterness(oak) in this wine. For the rest the oak is too dominating. The aftertaste is long, but it is the oak again. I do not know. I have no experience with this grape variety and with the development of the oak in wines like this. I score it just for my own reference 80 points with a question mark. The score can be (much) higher when the fruit overcomes all the oak, but can be much less as well. Depending on how this develops. I do not have any bottles, but this wine has my attention.
