  Non-complex, slightly flat, Chianti Rùfina Riserva from Villa Travignoli. Dark ruby, translucent in appearance. Nose brings black sour cherries, cranberries, juniper, tad of smoke & leather, rose petals, dried herbs & pepper. Palate, medium-bodied, lacks interesting features, linear, dry with grainy tannic structure, decent acidity with flavours echoing nose, fair fruit & juice while finishing on a supple, brief & spicy note. Casual, simple drinking.
