Grape, Grain and Graze Festival (Sydney showgrounds, Sydney): Lemon, struck match, cedar, slightly meaty, touch of wild ferment, smidge of stone fruit and butter here as well. Juicy, slightly buttery, tangy, the fruit is a little muted and, towards the end of the finish, it gets quite hard. Hmm.

Seafood to light meats. Complexity on the nose and palate after pressing whole bunches and a wild ferment in barrel. Roasted cashew notes from the fine French oak. White peach and grapefruit characters. A fine and delicate Chardonnay that will evolve over the next few years.
