  • Very generous right out of the gate. It’s a bit riper than I remember. Strong red, black and blue fruits. Some tannin and adequate acid. I might let these sit a little because things seem to be a bit out of balance at the moment. Note self, do t touch for a year or two.

Edit for last glass day 3: for what it’s worth this was my favorite glass. Much more balance. Delicious

  • Brought this to a Pinot themed dinner with the Cyclist and IAMANDYC , plus Liz. I popped the cork 2 hours before but no additional air. Nice black cherries, plums and raspberries, balanced with nice acidity. Old Sonoma style wine drank the remaining bottle the next day and it was just as good. I suspect the best lies ahead for this wine. Hopefully it develops some complexity and layers with more time

  • Platt is all the rage these days. And it never disappoints. Brought to a great dinner by CT friends. Was interesting to be able to try fresher and bigger Sonoma Pinot style alongside older Burgundian styles. Definitely a palate workout! Something to follow over a couple days likely and I would guess even better in a few years.

  • Very good, medium body, a little more kick than usual with 14.1%, blackberries, good now but you can also leave in the cellar another couple of years.

  • Dark cherry color, translucent at the rim. Spicy strawberry aroma. Lovely on the palate, medium weight, bright cherry, strawberry, hint of rhubarb. Fine, precise tannins, lovely acidity, great balance. Picks up weight with some air. Finishes long, dark fruited and spicy. Lovely Pinot Noir. I still think this will improve with some short-term aging. Drink next 6 to 8 years.
