Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Followed over two hours.
Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of birch, black raspberries, thatch and black cherries. Flavors of black raspberries, black cherries and dark, sweet plums. Medium to bright acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink now.

Still young and tight. I would have never guessed a 2005 in a blind tasting. This has got a ways to go.Dark cherry and black fruit. A little bit of earthiness. More will show as it gets older, I suspect. Balanced. Maybe a touch of oak. Good finish. Looking at the price tag, though, I was running through my mind all the good Burgundy I could get for less. Or two bottles of Varner pinot noir.

medium garnet and violet red in color. Forest floor and leaves and herbs on the nose. Herbaceousness and red fruit. Black cherris and dusty spice. Very interesting flavor profile and excellent balance. Clean, subtle and elegant.
