Dry strawberries and croissant on a light nose. Cremant-like fizz, light-bodied strawberry fruits leading to a surprisingly dry finish. I swear that the tannins tasted like walnuts on the dry finish - power of suggestion? (The family that produces this wine has been walnut growers for generations - hence "Noci" in the name.)
First foray into dry fizzy Italian red wines - would definitely be a go-to wine for an aperitif, together with an hors-d'oeuvre of prosciutto and melon appetizer.
