A clear bright ruby red, very light staining and tiny particles of sediment. Candied red berries, bubble gum, and dusty fennel on the nose. A slightly carbonated palate? Nectarine, baked fruit, huge mineral touch, white pepper and herbs on the finish. Very fun wine and perfect for summer bbqs, you can taste the central coast throughout. The fruit character is incredible the wine is just missing a lot of layers. Interested to see how this vintage and the whole collection age.

Monthly Tasting Group: California: Anything but Napa (BLVD Kitchen & Bar, Wayzata, MN): Small glass. Medicinal at first, red cherry, iodine, evolves and shows more finesse and purity to the red cherry, tart raspberry, light medium bodied. Pretty good. 88 to 89pts.

As BIG as domestic Syrah! Light and elegant and bright and fresh. Tart and tight, really tart and tight.
