En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): Very Vermentino nose but fresher and cooler than the Sardinians I looked at a few weeks ago; obviously this is from a cooler than we tasted as I’m at a wine bar as well which probably has an impact: Hands clamped, and wine swirled. Perfumed, floral blossom and apricot with fresh ginger on the nose; almost a bit Viognier but fresher, juicier on the palate without the glycerol fatness, bit of texture on the mid palate adds interest. Slight alcohol warmth on the finish but not intrusive. Nice.
