  Cool stuff, this RSA white made from 100% Fernão Pires (=Maria Gomes in PT), my first known meeting with this variety. Appears deep & shiny golden with greenish reflections. Nose reminiscent of a young, caddish Riesling with loads of lemon & citrus, flowers & minerality. Palate on the other hand is medium+-bodied, rich & round with lively acidity, going chiefly tropical mid-palate with melon, apricots, peach & mango like a dryish overseas Chenin Blanc, while finishing bittersour with lemon & grapefruit. Engaging!

  Swig - Portfolio Tasting. Brief notes: Viognier-like nose - a bit of ginger in there too. Nice texture, a bit pithy, a touch of grip even. Floral apricot character. Plenty of acidity.
