Champagnedinner (Søllerød Kro Leisner): Aromas of green apple, pear, a little dried pear. Youthful. Better than Dampierre Family Reserve also vintage 2012.

Bienvenue a Champagne; 4/20/2023-4/29/2023 (Les Crayeres, various restaurants, Les Avises and a many wonderful producers): A bottle that jumps out quite a bit at you. It’s funny because we’ve been ordering these for awhile but they always go to our offsite and we’re letting them age so I don’t think I’ve ever tried one save for the 1996 magnum that we got a few years ago that was much too young since it had just been disgorged. Something to look forward to. The wine is well made and well structured. Last tasting of the trip and somehow the note taking went a bit awry so I didn’t take any detailed ones on this. My impression though was good. Good potential to age. Nice style of chard that is a bit lighter and brighter and easy.

Light on the acid, heavy on the brioche. Reminded me of a lesser version of Pierre Moncuit. Just ok.

Lots of brioche, toasted almonds, lychee, sea spray and lime. I'd prefer a little more acids but this was very enjoyable.

Tastes more like a Brut than a blanc de blanc. Wonderful acid, long finish. Great value
