my first Pina. brought to dinner by the Cyclist. this got decidedly better with extended air. started off a bit thin and tannic but by 3-4 hours it really blossomed, in terms of dense red/black fruits, smooth mid palate, medium finish. hint of smokiness on the finish. Nice density and purity of fruit. 100% cabernet

A thought provoking wine. As with most of Piña’s high end cabs, I find myself enjoying the purity of the wine and fruit, more so than the complexity or anything else. This is pure Cabernet Sauvignon as it’s meant to be. Decant for now, or let it rest in the cellar for a decade. Either way, it’s a wonderful wine.
