Popped and poured. Nice nose of red raspberry, pie cherry, spice, cedar, smoke. On the palate, pie cherry, black raspberry, spice, vanilla. Creamy mouthfeel to a finish that was a little flabby. Excellent, drink now. OK value.

Very faint whiff of toffee on the nose, otherwise lots of red fruit - raspberries and cherries. A rich mouthfeel that I've noticed in other pinots - kinda like whipped cream. Hints of cedar and smoke. So - a bowl of raspberries with whipped cream eaten from a wood bowl in front of a roaring fire. The high-alc heat is the only thing that gives this away as Definitely New World. Very good wine. I do think that around the $30-$35 price point you can do better, especially where 06s are concerned - check out Lumos' 2006 Temperance Hill for example, which I had the pleasure of tasting last weekend.
