Double decanted for 3-4h. Nose has sandalwood and fresh berries. On the palate, bright red fruit, berries and bright cherries, lots of acid, tar, and tannins. With its acidity, this *really* needs food, pairs extremely well with buttery pasta and black truffles tonight in Alba. This has great complexity and aging potential, but as strictly a food wine due to its high acidity, it lacks some of the versatility that other Barbaresco’s I’ve tried over the past two weeks. 90/91
I ranked this as tied for second place among the four ‘18 and ‘19 barbarescos I tried in a two-evening dinner taste off in Alba.

Solid wine and good value. Wood, raspberries, minerals, leather and tar notes. Medium plus finish.
