no hints of fading - black fruits on nose, oak, cedar, black fruits on front and mid-palate, with hints of black pepper on finish - would definitely buy more at $10

Still excellent color with very little browning at edges. Muted nose, couldn't get much, but there are many better smellers than mine. Just at the edge of developing a nice secondary "aged" palate. Plenty of sweet fruit left, but a bit of a muted mid-palate. Tannins are quite soft already, but the acid is still high. Between the sweet fruit, hig acid and the other more muted aspects, is this wine is at an awkward place, as opposed to just being on the way out? Not as rich and satisfying as the '02 Cab from the same producer recently tasted. Somebody had high hopes for this wine, since it retailed at $30-$35.

Very earthy aromas and flavors with some red fruit still hanging around. Very smooth from start to finish.

Black berry and vanilla on the nose. Rich, complex and - for it's age - surprisingly fruity flavor. Balanced tannins. Nice red!
