  • Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of three days. Consistent throughout. The 2020 “Au Fils du Temps” sources its fruit from the Saviaux lieu-dit. It pours a deep ruby color with a purple tinge, a magenta rim and a near opaque core. Medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful; expressive of black and blue fruits: blackberries and blueberries with lavender, black pepper, some bacon fat, and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+(?) acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+; rich and full of vigor. A dense wine. This is a wee babe and really needs time. A very, very good Crozes that rivals Graillot IMO. Drink now with a lot of patience (or if you like really young Northern Rhone Syrah) but I suspect this will improve after some time on its side. Drink through 2030.

91-92+ pts
