dinner party, 3 bottles of Tally Rincon. 1996,2001,2005 This was pretty cool, as soon as I popped the cork, I could smell the fruit instantly. Great aromatic's in the glass, soft but not flabby still very much together. Finished the dregs the next evening, was fading but still a nice glass. I had rather low expectations for this bottle, it really suprised me.

NYC Pinot offline featuring Siduri & Novy wines (.): With 9 years of age this wine still showed its younger side. It was going strong last night and the fruit was thrilled to be out of the bottle. It sang from my glass with some cherry and tart flavors. At this point though my palate and body was shot..

Drank a bottle of this and a bottle of the 1996 Rosemary's PN last night with some friends. Both superb Pinots. Very different from each other. The Rincon was very structured with defined fruit tastes, mostly cherry but some florals running around also. Not alot of nose at first but after it had been open half an hour the nose got better and better. This is a wine that will get better for some years yet.
The Rosemary's Vineyard on the other hand was a fruit bomb. Incredible fruit package. An immense pleasure to drink, but I am not sure if it will ever get any better. No sign of age on it yet, but to my mind it lacks the structure to age and improve. Which is not to say it won't stay just fine for years to come. I don't know.

Sadly way over the hill. Nothing left, no fruit , no flavor nothing.

Flavored similarly to the Rosemary's, with red fruit enlivened by citrus and orange peel, but much more open-knit and not nearly as tensile or robust.
