N....rich black red fruit, alc is obvious, some gentle spice, dusty oak.
C....deep red with a purple edge.
T....gentle floury tannins, not grippy at all, pretty much dry on the scale; ripe sweet fruit with just enough acid to avoid a fruit-bomb; a bit of sweet wood; a little mineral profile. A seductive rich wine, but is it too ripe? Inky texture. Is it "too big" for a Quaffer? It might be interesting to see what cellar time does.
VFMoney?..... costs £13.50 and feels worth that, maybe feels as much as £18.00? 91 today but I'm guessing it will be at least a 92 wine after some cellar time.

Lovely bramble and bay scent, rich cherry flavours into clean and pure raspberry, then liquorice on some chewy tannins. Quite a heavy finish but it’s the clear berry flavours that lift it. One to get again.

Crystal clear brambly fruit, slight mintiness on the finish, some herbal stuff probably. Soooooo drinkable, a bit hefty to be smashable. Full bodied (yes, possibly a little hot).
Freshness here, which seems to derive from the clarity and crystallinity of the fruit rather than acidity (which is relatively low).
Day 2
Bigger, badder, berrier!! Some liquorice creeping in too. Still crystalline fruit, juicy and refreshing, dares another sip

Juicy, smoky with pretty dark fruits. There is an intriguing pick me up of radish, pickle and some welcome chew on the back end. Flatters to deceive with its openness and underlying tension. This is great VFM at £12.
