Remarkably fresh aroma of sour cherries, alongside brandied cherry and potpourri, with a likewise nicely fresh palate – sawdusty oak, maple syrup, raisin, more brandied cherry, with more tannic grip on the finish than I’ve ever had in a Port. And that “unfiltered” on the bottle… they ain’t kidding, this boy is leaving a mess all over the tulip glass. Most of ym Port experience is in the chewy, dense, tawny category. This? I could pour it for a Grenache fan and they’d probably love it.
