  • Visiting Aldo Rainoldi in Valtellina, wine 5/8. Made from a single Sassella sub-region of single varietal of Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo), located at altitude of 290 to 630 meters. Aged for 24 months in used oak, 2 months in stainless steel and 12 months in bottle. Produced only in best vintages. Pale brick colour. Pronounced complex aroma of cherries, roasted meat, dried roses, strawberries, plums. Medium body, signed by finesse and elegance, full of ripe red fruits, silky texture, very finely structured tannins.
