  • A metodo classico sparkling rosé wine made with 100% Lambrusco di Sorbara. As a multi-vintage blend, the wine does not bear vintage designation; this bottle was lot number MC2/21B. 12% alcohol, 6 g/l residual sugar and 7 g/l acidity.

Luminous, fully translucent medium-deep salmon-pink color. The nose is fresh and bright with aromas of crunchy red apple, some juicy citrus fruit tones, light notes of redcurrants, a leesy hint of yeast and a faint autolytic touch of brioche. The wine feels dry and crunchy on the palate with a medium body and bright flavors of redcurrants and fresh red apples, some leesy notes of yeast, a little bit of tart cranberry juice, light mineral notes of chalk dust and a creamy hint of custard character. The mousse feels soft, creamy and medium in lengthy. Moderately high acidity. The finish is dry, fresh and moderately long with a refreshing aftertaste of red apples and ripe citrus fruits, some leesy notes of yeast, a little bit of saline minerality, light brambly raspberry tones, a hint of crunchy redcurrant and a touch of apple peel bitterness.

A nice and refreshing but also maybe a little bit simple little rosé sparkling. The wine feels more like a generic sparkling rosé than a typical dry Lambrusco - I guess if the grapes are not vinified red but rosé, they lose some of that distinctive Lambrusco character. This was still a nice and enjoyable effort, but nothing too remarkable or memorable. Priced more or less according to its quality at 179 SEK (approx. 15,50€).

  • Sparkling rose and summer eves goes nicely together. Very fresh with notes of strawberries, red cherries and blood orange. A nice touch of brioche in the mid palate.

  • Pink colour. Light and tart palate with dilute flavours; slightly astringent, berry/apple flavoured finish.

  • Gambero Rosso Tasting (Doltone House, Sydney): Savoury, biscuit, cherry on the nose. Juicy acidity helps the fruit to ‘pop’ on the palate especially when supported by quite aggressive mousse, bone dry. Hmm
