I'd agree with the assessment that this is like a lighter Tawny Port. My first impressions were of prune juice, followed by black licorice. I get tobacco now too. Been drinking it over the course of a month, and it really hasn't changed at all. Has nice acidity, but what makes it most interesting as a dessert wine is that it's pretty firmly tannic. Having that structure makes an intriguing foil to the sweetness. Enjoyable overall, but not particularly special.

Som suggestion with the cheese platter. Not bad, felt like a lighter version of a tawny Port, with tobacco, nutty elements, but there was also a lot of white chocolate dominating of which I was less a fan.

Quelle belle surprise. Vin oublié et sort sans aucune attente. Le temps a fait son effet. Soyeux, ample et aromatique. Café, gauffre, cerise confite. super!

Slightly corked, so no rating. Underlying wine seems basically fine, but unfortunately a bit teinted.

PNP into ISO tasting glass ("Flower" day): Medium ruby to the eyes.
Dried and cooked red fruit, solvent note, leafy spices.
Sweet, but good fruit remained. Good bright acidity for its style and a good comparison to Ruby style Port?
92 points.
