  Picked this wine up back in 2008. Wine bar in San Diego. The bottle rested comfortably for 11 years in a temperature-controlled environment. (That's one way of saying I forgot about it.) Stumbled across it last night. Wax seal gave itself up easily, cork crumbled badly on exit. First assessment of bouquet was "I'll reserve judgement on judgement." Poured two glasses, the wine revealed a beautiful orangey-garnet colouration, the bottle stained with a dark half-cloak of sediment deposit. Sediment stayed put throughout multiple pours. The wine? Buried treasure. Black cherry, black olive and silky mouthfeel. A pleasant surprise on a snowy evening.

  Somewhat disappointing for a $25 wine, but I have learned to have an open mind to the variety of the Pinot Noir. Nice light and clear this opened nicely but did not have that "burst" you sometimes get. Nice finish. Good not great.
