  Slightly wacky, but I like this cuvée a lot. Loire gamay, with some carignan apparently blended in. This makes for wildly prefumey aromatics, with lots of floral elements as well as some outright perfume. On the palate, tons of tart cherry and cranberry, which your “friends” will peg as shrill. They will be wrong. Behind the fruit, there are earthy notes of many shapes and sizes. Your “friends” might claim to detect a vague bit of barnyard or even brett in the background. While they won’t technically be wrong on this point, you should ignore them. Instead, figure out the right pairing and just enjoy the vibe.
