Opened by Otis. This finished in 3rd place in our blind tasting and was my favorite wine of the night. This was also the most expensive wine in the lineup at about 2-3 times the cost of the other wines. Dark blackish purple color. Meaty notes with black cherry, anise and wet earth. Full bodied and plump tannins. 93 points.

Cab Showdown: Michigan v West Coast (Chateau Vino Me): Double blind. Deep color. Chocolate, incense, plum and cassis with hints of vanilla underneath. Full-bodied with flavors of ripe plum, currants, licorice, vanilla and barrel spice. Long finish. Definitely not a MI wine.
My #2, Group #3, 9 pts. (O&A)
