PnP. Ruby with dark red-brick edge in color. Nose of dark cherries, newly tanned leather, allspice and licorice. On the palate: rich cherries, saddle leather and wood spice. Dusty tannins were unobtrusive, lightly perceived on gums. Long finish of cherries and wood spice. Somewhat one-dimensional, but very enjoyable and good QPR as far as Amarone goes.

Appearance: Clear, medium ruby Nose: Clean, medium+ intense. Ripe strawberries, red cherries, plumb, forest floor.
Palate: Dry, medium+ acidity, medium chalky tannins, high alcohol, medium body, medium intense, medium complex, medium finish. + Liquorice.
Very good quality wine, not at all what I expexted from an Amarone; plenty of primary fruits and a very light touch. Suitable for bottle ageing, sufficient fruit present.

Quite pleasant. An Amarone, so not my cup of wine. Then again, luckily not recognizable as such. But a nice combination of subtle tannins, admittedly a lot of fruit and some cellar type earthy complexity already at this age. I could drink this.
