I drank a few Barolo and high acid Chardonnay this week, and this was a big palate shock, to be honest. At first, this tasted like flabby, low acid fruit juice. I remember having this at the CdP Printemps festival this past spring at the Pegau table, and liking it. An hour so later, after a glass or so, this seems to be much more balanced with acidity, surprisingly. I’m enjoying it actually. Not very complex, but a solid Côtes du Rhône, if you like the style.
This is very fruity, and something about the nose reminds me of Dolcetto. That blue, purple intense fruit. This is clean, and lacking the Pegau CdP funk and Brett.

Pretty much identical to the 2019 I recently had. Noticeably more concentrated and tannic than other CdR's, which is welcome. Rich dark fruit and spices.

Bought at the Chateau this summer. Today this does not have the quality other tasters find. A clean and fine Cote du Rhone, but rather simple with nice structure in the medium peppery finish.

A super clean & simple Côtes du Rhône. Showcases the region well for the price. Notes of spice, oak, bubblegum, earthfloor. It lacks complexity and can be a little bland but was enjoyable over dinner!

Great value for price - entry level Rhone blend that shows well.
