  Fairly reductive on the nose with upfront aromas of struck match, tire burnout and funk that lead into notes of dark cherry, black currant and wild berry that meet licorice root, white pepper, petrichor, garrigue, tea, iron and iodine scents.
  The palate shows structure and concentration. A denser frame that comes with fine tannins and juicy acidity. Flavors on the palate reveal sour cherry, black currant, wild berries, red apple skin, tea, herbs, anise, earth and mineral. The wine finishes with tension.
  
  This should cellar well.
