  • What a lovely wine. Decanted for an hour before drinking. It continued to open in the glass. Med dark ruby. This is a complex wine. Raspberry, red fruits, maybe a hint of melon. Pencil shavings. Crushed rose petal. Mint or eucalyptus. Licorice (faint). A touch of salinity.

Velvety with bright fruit on the tongue. Strong tannins with structure that tell you this wine could lay down for a long while, even if it tastes lovely now. Medium acid. Alcohol is 13%. Nicely balanced.

I would decant this for two hours to let it open up properly. This wine has potential to be even better with time. But it so tasty that I’m sure it won’t last long in my cellar.

  • Opened and decanted about 45 minutes before serving. For such a young wine, it’s lovely. Darker fruits with a hint of hay and eucalyptus. Cedar wood shavings. Faint leather. Roasted tobacco (very light). Herbal meadow. Structured tannins. Medium acid. Ready to drink now. And at this price point, a great value.
