  • 14% alcohol; the wine is brick red to a narrow orange rim. The bouquet is savoury-led with liquorice, ripe red fruit, brown sugar, molasses, and sandalwood. Intense.
Medium-bodied, the entry has lots of sweet fruit, a medium to medium- acidity, a soft yet sinewy texture and sandy tannins. There is plenty of fruit with molasses, marinated cherry, black pepper, marmite and undergrowth. It feels a little baked with a new world overlay. Fair concentration, broad-shouldered and showing plenty of development. Lovely wine, just about complicated enough.
