Surprisingly, this wine has not held up. Odd flavors after airing and starting an hour later. A bit cardboardy, as it settled down it descended into overripeness. Not terrible, but disappointing for this normally high-caliber wine. Pruny. Drink it a year or two ago. Could be bottle variation or could have been overstuffed from the beginning and not a long ager.

This is a big wine - ripe, deep, dark red fruit with lots of bramble and plenty of grip. Concentrated flavors, full bodied and slightly rough on the palate. Big finish that seems like a magnification of the richness and depth that starts on the mid-palate. Way too rich to be considered a typical Oregon pinot, but the great depth and grip make it a very enjoyable version. I feared it might be soft, lush and round, but that was certainly not the case with this bottle.

Very dark, almost like a Petite Syrah. Not really my style of Pinot. Beyond that, though, a well-made wine. I would drink more, but I wouldn't buy more, how's that?

Is drinking great right now. May last a couple more years but why wait. Has softened over time.
