Very lovely garnet color and attractive first notes of berry on the nose. After an hour or so it was still a bit thin and tannic. There were maybe hints of former complexity if you really concentrated, perhaps a flutter of fruit, but not too much of interest left. Would be acceptable with food, but disappointing overall.

Still good color, no bricking. Very tight nose on opening. Initial light black cherry, modest tannins that increase slightly throughout. Blackberry comes in at the mid point and grows through the long finish. Moderate acidity. Very smooth 89 on opening
+30 minutes nose is still closed, but the flavors are deepening slightly
+60 minutes, much the same as before, but again, the second half has picked up some nice black raspberry
+90-180 minutes plateaued, still nose-challenged but still outstanding
Amazingly young in the mouth, if challanged on the nose

Dry, old-school, austere, but long, dense and excellent. Nicely aromatic with some pleasant funk, mint, and iron. I picked this up for a song, and wished I’d bought more. The tannins were still evident and hard/iron-esque, but they soften with air. More Bordeaux than Napa, although it lacked the earthiness and leather of a true claret.
