Nice dark fruit nose on P&P, with some earth and barnyard. More new world than say a Tempier Bandol, but a nice drinker with braised lamb shanks. Very nice domestic Mouvedre, but i will try to wait a few years to drink my next one, just to see if it improves like the Tempiers.

Wine of the night. Ripe berry fruit w/ nice texture and savor. Balanced and interesting. Great w/ quasi teriyaki beef t-loin. Reminded me of Grenache but maybe it's just So. Rhone. Really good stuff. Note to me - buy it.

Boys nite with New World wines, uncommon varietals (Reno, NV): Extremely dark color with a pretty nose of dark fruits and earth... slightly reduced. On the palate the wine is way off with some of the worst integrated acidity I have tasted in a wine in years... very firm and tight midpalate and finish. Interesting wine aromatically that has one of the worst palate shapes I have had in a couple of years... not a flawed bottle that I could tell. Definitely "avoid."

Nice fruit. Very extracted. Somewhat hot.
