Deep purple in color; chocolate, cherries, and black pepper on the nose; medium acidity; high tannins; tastes like plums, blueberries, and graphite with a medium finish. It was a little harsh at first, but it opened up after some time in the glass. It's too oaky for Nellie. She doesn't like it. I think it's ok, but the tannins and oak flavors are a little too harsh. Paired well with gouda.

Maybe a touch more "goofy" and jammy than the last time I tried it, but this is still an absolutely delicious and fun wine for $10. Much, much better than the other entry level Bogle stuff, too; tons of black plum preserves, a bit of vanilla oak, fat and round but not sweet or cloying. Very simple and absolutely tasty once in a while as a burger companion. As far as $10 grocery wine goes, it's in the upper echelon- then again, a few bucks more at a wine shop can get you a *lot*.

Smooth. Easy drinking. Not pizza wine.

For $12 this is a perfectly fine wine. Oak, jam, some tannins.
Don't overthink and just enjoy.

It's drinkable and affordable, but not that good. I'd have it at a party, but don't recommend having this with dinner.
