My prior day one note applies in the main. The elements are in better harmony with better balance fore to aft. Quite good, but I won't be finishing it tonight, so I am hoping it can handle a day of rest better than last time. It held on well enough, but still had a noticeable slip in balance. Final verdict: 87
Nope, I was wrong. Too cold. This is delicious. Going to leave this all up as a reminder to be patient while assessing.
Final final verdict: 91

Still familiarizing myself with SB's from the southern hemisphere. This one has a very intense nose of apricot, green apple, and passionfruit. Freshly cracked, it's quite tight on the palate with a high acid finish. Let's see what some decanting does for it, but I like what I'm getting so far. Second glass was with spaghetti ai frutti di mare, and it complemented the dish fairly well. Quite nice with dinner, but the last of the glass on its own began to overwhelm my tongue with acid. Day 2 it completely fell apart into a sweet-tart mess with little going for it. Day 1 was an 87, day two is a 78, so an overall score of 83 seems in order.

Not flawed but just not to my taste. Will see if it gets better with time

Consumed in Mt. Cook National park. Pale, pale color. Almost completely translucent. Flinty stone fruit, with a touch of residual sugar.
