  • I had high hopes for this considering the spectacular bottle of Drouhin 1970 village Chambolle enjoyed a couple years ago. Sadly, this bottle seemed to have got stuck in a late secondary stage, solidly alive and eminently drinkable. A bit sullen with black fruit and just hints of maderization. None of the sous bois and autumnal glory of the Chambolle from the same year. You can’t win ‘em all.
