Very elegant wine. The aromas are of cherry, raspberry and a little oak. This is medium bodied with medium to high acidity. The flavors are of blackberry, red currant and spice leading to a smooth finish.

Post issue: This wine was lovely and had quite a bit of substance. Day 1 nose opened up over a couple of hours in decanter and the pallate was full with a bit astringent finish. Interesting...
Day 2 the nose was absolutely singing and the astringency mellowed out leaving a wine with great body and balance. This thing will probably age really nicely over the next 5 years.
At this QPR, I went and bought up a couple of more of these wines but could only find the 2016. Hopefully, they share the same characteristics and will age as well.

Med (-) ruby with a garnet rim. Med intensity aromas of ripe strawberry, red currant, dried herbs, potting soil and a touch of sweet baking spices from a touch of French oak (14-18 mos., 20% new). The nose is developing. Dry, with generous fruit, med (+) acidity, medium, smooth, polished tannins and med to med (+) alcohol (13.5%). Beautifully balanced, silky, ethereal wine, with med (+) flavor intensity and length. Drinking really well now and for the next several years.
