Light in color (close to pinot color), but good minerality and a bit more earthy and spicy than many barolos. A fine with with sharp cheeses and tartines. not overly tanniny and the finish was clean

The Kermit Lynch description is dead on. About the best weeknight barbaresco deal around. Has all textbook elements, benefits greatly from a long 1-2 hour decant. Will be my go to value barbaresco

2019 Barbaresco Tasting: Group #1, but my #7. Sharper nose with a whiff of paint thinner. Flavor of sweet soft fruit and a hint of vanilla, but with hard tannins underneath. Finish was somewhat short and less interesting than others.

Nice translucent reddish-orange color, high pitched aromas of red berries, rose and sandalwood, the palate has a soft entry with a stern tannin build-up to the red cherry, pepper, black tea and tobacco infused finish, fresh and elegant, dry, nice with spaghetti and meat sauce, food-friendly, ready to go but no rush
