  • Drank with Wrighty from the CT forum. Appearance: very light, translucent. Nose: At first a lot of dirt and cherries - quite a bit of heat and disjointed power. Over the next hour the wine at first put on a lot of weight and it was struggling between power and complexity. Soon, however, the wine started to relax and there was a much more delicate aromas coming out - meat, roses, smooth, light cherries but with a dark undercurrent of power. This wine will age very well for a long time. If you are considering drinking it now then decant it for a couple of hours before drinking. Overall very good to excellent but needed time to reveal its true quality.

  • Dinner with pjaines (Pjaines house, London): My memory isn't as good as Pjaines but this wine definitely took time to come round. Muddy to start with a little heat but cleared up to reveal a pleasant nose and good body - shame the bottle was empty just as this started to sing.
