  good fruit complemented with cedar, leather and pipe tobacco notes. Excellent QPR. easy drinking and does not go flat over time

  High on the luscious scale with plum blackberry leather brown sugar vanilla.
  A nice wine very approachable.

  By the glass at the club, popped and poured. Deep color. Notes of back currants, kirsch, chocolate and something savory, like a cross between leather and sage. There’s a little bit of a root beer/melted licorice thing going on as well. Full-bodied with flavors of black currant, cassis, chocolate and plum with a slightly sappy, resinous quality on the finish. Haven’t had anything from Franciscan in a long while and for $16/btl at local retailers, this is a decent little bottle of cabernet. 88+ pts.
