93-94 Reportedly the best value buy of the 2019 vintage. Double decanted in AM and this may have shut down the wine a little bit in the evneing. Med+ acids, and good balance of fruit of tannin. I did not get the filigree precision of a top wine, although this will certainly be better in 10 years.

Blackish ruby with an orange rim, transparent. Intense, pronounced nose of Mediterranean herbs, lipstick, potpourri, rusty nails. Crunchy, tart acidity, red plums, cranberry, black olive, oregano, campari with an overall savoury bent. Complex and intense, great length. Slightly blocky, chewy tannins that will settle with time. Extremely well balanced, powerful yet elegant. Can't wait to try this with age, will be a real beauty!

Barolo Master Class (Johns Creek, GA): Tasted during a "Barolo Master class" at The Wine Store in John's Creek, GA. Bottle opened for 2 hours prior to tasting and tasted with cheese, bread and charcuterie. This was my least favorite of all the wines poured that evening. Ruby red color. Super tannic and nose was not as expressive as the "Monfaletto" poured next to it. Weird aftertaste and not very balanced. Brad - heavypourwine.com

This is one of the best from the '19 vintage. I've opened a few of these over the past six months, and each time, I'm impressed. I'm planning to store the rest of my bottles deep in the locker to try again in 5-10 years. 94-95

Tasted at Wine & Spirits Top 100, NYC. Vajra’s second estate. Super classic. Cherry, tar, roses, high tannin and acid. Young but drinkable with the right food, would prefer 10+ years in the cellar, undoubtedly even better then. Lovely wine.
