Gooseberry, lime zest, nervy acid - 85% Sauv Blanc 15% Chardonnay. I like it... young though it may be. Prolly could sit for a couple years and soften a bit... fleshes out after warming in the glass - refrain from serving refrigerator cold.

this wine was served at the 45th induction ceremony and induction dinner of the Garden State Bailliage of the Chaine des Rotisseurs held at the Ryland Inn. paired with grilled hawaiian head-on prawns; acorn squash agrodolce, frisee, red watercress; toasted anson mills grain, macadamia nut puree; golden raisin-chamomile vinaigrette. very pale color. had to give it a nose test to make sure there was wine in the glass and not water. prominent grapefruit notes on the nose and the palate. i have not tasted grapefruit in many years due to health issues. the profile of this wine reminds me of when a was served grapefruit as a child which was customarily topped with sugar. as a pairing, this did not work well for me as it clashed with the herbaceousness of the food. the wine would have been more enjoyable in a different context, either as an aperitif or perhaps with a waldorf salad.

Nose: herbs (thyme / rosemary), grass, white flowers, hard pear.
Palate: Follows the nose plus slight bitter note, "grape candy", a bit astringent and green / unripe. Medium- body, medium- length,
Good but slightly boring and austere. Paired well with Mediterranean bowls!

Good intensity of citrus and herbal. Crisp and fresh.
