Cherry/brick red, lightening at edges. Reserved aromas-- cherry, earth, cinnamon, spice... fairly complex but reticent. Bright earthy cherry fruit with coffee/leather notes, fairly tannic still an hour or more after opening. Decent balance between fruit and acids, reasonably long spicy cherry finish. Closed? Or maybe just not much of a wine. Pleasant enough, but more village quality than GC. I'll wait awhile before opening another to see if anything interesting emerges.
