Decanted for 95 minutes and poured into the glass. A deep, dark ruby color, thick and leggy. The nose revealed cherry, graphite, cranberry, fig, honey, lilac, and graham cracker. The palate is quite different from the nose with much lighter red fruits, red currant, plum, green peppercorn, granite, burnt toast, honey graham cracker, cacao nib, an dried thyme. The finish is medium plus in length and the body is medium. The tannins are well integrated and acidity is high with some heat. Could age for another 6 years if properly cellared.
One hour decant before the first pour (give it at least a couple of hours if you can, the longer the better). Very dark pour, leggy in the glass. The bouquet is wonderful, filled with currant, tar, leather, violets, a touch of cedar, very dense. The palate was out of step with the bouquet but slowly integrated as the oxygen did its work. The currants and cedar were present, the fruit muted. A little grainy with tannins and medium acidity on the back of the tongue, the body of this wine is medium to heavy with a long tannic finish. Let this one breath like crazy!

Quite dark red; powerful intense dark berries nose, some vanilla, a bit of tobacco; good depth, some tannins, quite masculine in expression; needs some air as it is quite tight straight from the bottle; good

Masculine and powerful, nearly Black, nose of dark fruit, roasted oak and leather. Palate mirroring nose but with dense forest flor on top. Demanding tannins. Very long aftertaste. Would buy again!

A great surprise, this wine made my night. A: M+ opacity black/ruby N: M+ inten. SMells like left bank, loads of rich black leather,, very exciting nose, dried lilac, spicy sandalwood, winter evergreen forest, black currants (crushed), ripe red apple core P: Med grippy tann M+ acid M+ finish hi- body hi- intensity Loads of black leather, scorched black soil, spicy sandalwood, wet maduro, candied lemon zest.
Seems to have the stuffing to go for additional medium term cellaring. I plan to drink my remaining three bottles spaced through 2014. This wine will be a sure crowd pleaser.
