My score is based on potential, so take it with a grain of salt. This needs air and/or more cellar time. It is very oak dominated at the moment, although the raw materials for a good Napa CS are there. Tasted this at Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour in New Orleans.

From Wine Paris Fair, quick notes, and quick tasting, still I m pretty good et it :)
This is a recent release, with a bit of closed aromas, we tasted two different bottles, with one day opening time difference ...
Latest one is my go to with its restrained cab aromas, light bell pepper, and still ripe and luscious fruits, with good oak integration, pretty wine... It might really hit a 94/5 in the future ! I trend to like the bottom line up better than the single vineyards etc
Great balance, great acidity, a little more smoke than the Rutherford's or Napa tasted... Shaffer was maybe a little to warm and not so well integrated at its stage, plus very ripe (15.3 !)
Really nice wine !

First time @ prime Diplomat Hollywood. Very balanced. Can be drank on its own or with red meat. A crowd pleaser. I suspect value around 70-90$ /bit
