Dark red for a rosé, with extracted flavor halfway between a Provence rosé and a Cote du Rhône. Nice but simple, not really my favorite style. Would not buy again. I’ve had much better rosés for $4 in Rhône grocery stores.

Five years on and a rose is still singing? I really prefer this over so many rosés. It has a real “creaminess” and none of the tooty frooty flavors of overripe warm grapes. This could easily go another year or two but it’s so tasty now. Perfect summer picnic wine.

Deep color. Rich. Slightly sweet. This is a darker and more intense rose than I really prefer, but it is still quite enjoyable. Intense black cherry, pepper, some licorice. Fruity finish yet also with slate and salt.

The first whiff is mineral followed by intense aromas of warm cantaloupe, orange peel, and strawberry with a floral undercurrent; the same on the palate, but the fruit takes on a dried character, the finish is long, peppery and savory. There is ample acidity and the tannins do have a slight grip, I love the creamy texture of this wine. I think this could go for a few more years, yet.
My previous notes from two years ago are similar, but the melon was more watermelon and I made no mention of dried fruits. This was my last bottle.

Seems a bit more restrained since my last tasting a year ago. I suspect it may also reflect bottle variation.
