  • note: this is Gran Reserva clear, still, purple, thin fuschi miniscus, white watery rim tears medium to form and fall, sheeting same color as grape(s) indicating med to thicker skin variety or varieties clean, nose is med plus intensity, very ripe, fresh berries, violet/lylic, no evidence of oak remains to be seen on palate, palate: dry, acid is med+, tannin is medium, body is full, alc is med+, length is long, flav intensity med +, flavors include spice (oak treatment, possibly newer and smaller barrels), red and black and blue tart, tight berries, plum skins cooked, spice, primary conclusions: old world geography and technique, warm region, typical vintage, pair with taps, especially with anchovies or a fattier type of tapas, drink now will not benefit from bottle aging, quality commerical level, regions: italy, s. america, possible varietals ... obscure local varitals.
