Very roasty nose with toasted brioche and hazelnuts as well as lightly redolent of lemon curd and pear. Med-full bodied and quite powerful with lots of toasted brioche and toasted hazel and walnuts. Also, navel orange and some salinity. Drink now-2028
Day 2: This has opened and the toasty/roasty character has calmed down to reveal (still toasted brioche and roasted hazelnut) more lemon curd, brightness and freshness. That said, it's still a bit on the roasty side with less fruit than I'd like. Perhaps it just needs a year or three to soften and open. Drink 2025-2030 93
