Found this on the menu at Coastal Prime restaurant in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Gorgeous spot right on the water. It was $75 which I thought was fair. Having spent some time in St Emillion, I was happy to find this wine and it did not disappoint. Not a Petrus for sure, but it was damn good. Medium body, 14.5% alcohol. It was a classic SE and it brought me right back there. VERY smooth. plummy, black fruit, moderate acid, soft tannins. I had filet mignon and my wife had duck and it stood up well.

  • Blending 80% Merlot with 20% Cabernet Franc, you find flowers, cherries, mint leaf, smoke, and licorice nuances in the nose. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, fruity, fresh, and finishes with creamy cherries in the endnote. You can enjoy this with pleasure on release. Drink from 2025-2035. 89-91 Pts.
