This has developed remarkably. Nose of peach and dried white fruits, some lemon, orange blossom, quince jelly, marzipan, toasted almonds, pistachio, honey. The aromas were very closed when out of the fridge, as were the flavours. This needs some time to warm up to cellar temperature. Rich complex palate of white fruits, particularly peach and apricot, similar citrus and quince notes, an almost baklava-like combination of toasted nuts, honey, and butter. Echoes of spices, particularly cinnamon and cloves. Drinking beautifully, though with the massive oak I suspect this could develop for another five years. Huge alcohol, but you don't even notice it and the acidity blends wonderfully with a cleansing minerality. Firm fish and a cream sauce? Yes please!

Oro ramato. Al naso frutta esotica matura (papaya, mango), albicocca, pepe bianco, tiglio, note salmastre, burro di arachidi. Bocca secca, opulenta, un pò calda all’impatto e poco supportata dalla freschezza, anche se la sapidità è notevole
