First day opened and paired with lamb the cab sauv was abrasive and full. Second day had last glass with steak and the wine was more subdued. Hints of apple and earthy cedar.

Pleasant nose, nice color, good for a young Napa Cab, and pleasant to drink. It might be interesting to see how this ages over a few years. If I were younger, I would experiment with holding and slowly go through a case over a decade or more, but I have too many older wines I am hard pressed to finish in my lifetime. A reasonable value from Costco with their current $10/btl discount.
Typical jammy cabernet from California. The label states it sat in French oak for 24 months. I'm sure it did, but it must have been all old oak. There is no detectable backbone of tannins from a wine that was in barrel for two years.

15% alcohol; real cork with 6 mm maximum wine seepage; cork aroma of a sweet/sour me'lange, dill, cardamom; medium weight foil; medium legs, purple/violet/brown; nose very much like the cork with musty spices, tannins, cassis, & raisins; opened, oxygenation hastened via Vinturi, and tasted 15 minutes later at room temperature -- 25 degrees C; full bodied, powerful mouth feel, lots of tannins, cassis and raisins again prominent, hint of stone fruit like cherries and prunes; various components interwoven in a complex pattern; long finish with a dual forest floor and mineral background, an added component of sweetness from plums/prunes; pair with red meat, a filet mignon or grilled baby back ribs, also Thanksgiving turkey or ham
